Speaker Agreement

This Agreement, effective of the date agreed on the Call for Abstracts, is between the lead author/speaker and the LNG2026 Steering Committee.

Terms and Conditions

By agreeing to this Speaker Agreement, all parties declare that:

  1. The LNG2026 Steering Committee represents the three event Owners of LNG2026, namely International Gas Union, GTI Energy and Institutional Institute of Refrigeration.
  2. The lead author agrees to speak, present and participate in the 21st International Conference & Exhibition on Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG2026) to be held on 2-5 February 2026 in Doha, Qatar. The lead author will provide the LNG2026 Steering Committee and its representatives with related materials (including, but not limited to, a full technical paper, presentation, poster or other material, hereafter referred to as ‘full paper/presentation/poster’) related to the abstract submitted by the lead author for the LNG2026 Call for Abstracts.
  3. The lead author is the sole presenter of the full paper/presentation/poster at the LNG2026 conference. All co-authors of the above-mentioned submission unanimously agree that the lead author will represent the above-mentioned submission and solely present at the LNG2026 conference.
  4. The lead author and the LNG2026 Steering Committee hold joint copyright in respect of accepted abstracts and full papers/presentations/posters. Intellectual property remains with the lead author, but the LNG2026 Steering Committee retains the right to share the abstract and the full paper/presentation/poster on the Club LNG portal.
  5. All abstracts accepted through the Call for Abstracts will be available on the LNG2026 website along with the lead author/speaker profile.
  6. Both the abstract and full paper/presentation/poster has not and will not be published or presented on any other occasion prior to the LNG2026 conference, except being made available for LNG2026 delegates by the LNG2026 event organisers. 
  7. All accepted abstracts and full papers/presentations/posters will be published as part of the official LNG2026 conference proceedings. The proceedings will be released by the event organisers to registered LNG2026 conference delegates ahead of the LNG2026 conference and will consist of both the abstract and full paper/presentation/poster.
  8. All abstracts and full papers/presentations/posters will be published and available after the event to LNG2026 conference delegates, the Steering Committee, and general industry on the Club LNG portal.
  9. The lead author confirms accuracy of the information and referencing within their abstract.
  10. The lead author confirms that they are authorised to enter into this Agreement, and that any materials provided by or on their behalf or on behalf of any co-authors directly related to the abstract and full paper/presentation/poster is original work. The lead author confirms that they have been duly authorised to submit, publish and present this abstract and full paper/presentation/poster, and that they do not infringe the intellectual property rights of any other person or contain any content that is defamatory or otherwise infringes the right of any other person. The lead author also confirms they have internal company approval (where relevant) and approval from any directly related co-authors to submit, publish and present the abstract and full paper/presentation/poster.
  11. The lead author consents to being photographed, filmed and/or recorded at the LNG2026 conference and consents to the LNG2026 Steering Committee and the Owners using these images and recordings for promotional purposes, without compensation or acknowledgment, including for the promotion of future editions of the International Conference & Exhibition on LNG. This includes, but is not limited to, audio and video recordings of the author’s presentation. If requested, the event organisers will provide photographs and recordings to authors within 48 hours of their presentation; in this case, the lead author will ensure that recordings are only for publication on social media or internally, and not to be published in their entirety. The Owners and LNG2026 Steering Committee may use the lead author/speaker’s name, likeness, and biographical information, along with any names, trademarks, service marks, and logos included in the materials in connection with promotional materials created for LNG2026 as well as for the Owners’ purposes and for future editions of the International Conference & Exhibition on LNG.
  12. The speaker agrees to assist in the promotion of the LNG2026 conference and their own participation in the LNG2026 conference, where possible.
  13. The lead author agrees to the following submission dates:
    • Full paper: 08 December 2025
    • Poster: 08 December 2025
    • PowerPoint presentation: 19 December 2025

The lead author understands that failure to comply may result in the complete submission being removed from the conference programme. This decision will be at the discretion of the Steering Committee and the event organisers.

  1. The lead author has read and understood that all authors presenting at LNG2026 will be required to register and pay a speaker registration fee. The lead author/speaker is entitled to a discount on the LNG2026 standard delegate fee. Co-authors are not entitled to a discount on the LNG2026 delegate fee.  The lead author/speaker must be registered to attend LNG2026 by 17 November 2025.
  2. The lead author/speaker commits to attend the LNG2026 conference in person. In case of unforeseeable circumstances preventing the speaker from attending the LNG2026 conference, the lead author/speaker agrees to provide a substitute.

This agreement constitutes the entire Agreement between the parties with respect to the subject matter hereof and may not be amended except in writing signed by both parties.
