What is the Call for Abstracts?

The Call for Abstracts is an invitation for individuals and organisations to submit proposals for presentations, papers, and posters to be considered for inclusion in the LNG2026 Technical Programme sessions taking place on 2 – 5 February 2026.

Who can submit abstracts?

Abstract submissions are open to professionals, researchers, academics, and industry experts from around the world who are actively involved or have expertise in the gas and energy sector specifically related to the liquefied natural gas industry.

What topics are suitable for abstract submissions?

Abstracts are welcome on a wide range of topics related to the natural gas and energy industry, including but not limited to exploration, production, transportation, distribution, technology, environmental sustainability, and policy. Discover further details on the nine abstract themes here.

How can I submit an abstract?

You can submit your abstract on the Call for Abstracts portal here.

What is the deadline for abstract submissions?

The deadline for abstract submission is 29 May 2025. Late submissions will not be considered, so please check the timeline and submit your abstract before the stated deadline.

What criteria must be met to submit a winning abstract?

Abstracts are assessed based on their originality, quality, objectivity, and relevance to the conference theme. Both the abstract and full paper/presentation/poster has not and will not be published or presented on any other occasion prior to the LNG2026 conference, except being made available for LNG2026 delegates by the LNG2026 event organisers.

Criteria include innovation, significance, clarity, and overall contribution to advancing knowledge in the natural gas industry.

Can I submit more than one abstract?

Yes, you are allowed to submit more than one abstract, provided each submission adheres to the guidelines and focuses on a distinct topic.

Is there a registration fee for submitting abstracts?

Submitting an abstract is free of charge. If your abstract is accepted, you will be required to register for the conference as a speaker. Speakers receive a discounted rate on the regular registration rate. More details on the approved discounted rate will be provided soon.

When will I know if my abstract has been accepted?

You will be notified from 01 July 2025 onwards.

When will I need to submit my full paper?

If you are accepted as a speaker, you will be required to submit your full paper by 08 December 2025.

Can I make changes to my abstract after I have submitted it?

No, you cannot make changes to submitted abstracts. If you wish to do so, please contact us on technicalprogramme@lng2026.com and we will guide you.

Please ensure that your abstract is accurate and complete before the deadline.
