Steven Palmer
Steve Palmer is a Marine Quality and Performance Assistant Manager at QatarEnergy. He is a Chartered Engineer and Chartered Marine Engineer with over 35 years of dedicated experience in the LNG shipping industry.
Steve’s career began as a sea-going engineer with Shell in the late 1980s, eventually attaining the rank of Chief Engineer on LNG carriers. In 2002, he transitioned ashore with Shell as an Engineer Superintendent and progressively advanced to the role of Fleet Manager for STASCo's managed Qatar Fleet. Steve has worked on numerous complex projects with significant tenures in the UK, Japan, and Qatar. Since 2008, he has been associated with various roles in Qatar, from technical management and vessel delivery to his current role in quality assurance and risk management.
Steve holds an MBA in Shipping and Logistics from Middlesex University and is a Fellow of the Institute of Marine Engineers, Scientists, and Technologists.
