Martin Hupka is President of the LNG business line at Sempra Infrastructure. In this role, Hupka oversees the company’s business, commercial, construction and operations activities related to LNG infrastructure. Since 2020, Hupka has successfully led three LNG projects to a final investment decision (FID): ECA LNG Phase 1 in 2020, Port Arthur LNG Phase 1 in 2023 and Port Arthur LNG Phase 2 in 2025.

Hupka has served in a variety of roles at Sempra Infrastructure including as President of LNG and Net Zero Solutions and as Senior Vice President & Chief Commercial Officer, where he led the consolidated marketing and commercial optimization functions for the company, including LNG marketing, commercial development and the optimization center.

Hupka was Chief Commercial Officer for Sempra LNG and, prior to that, he was General Counsel, leading all legal affairs related to LNG development, operations and regulatory. He also served as Assistant General Counsel for Sempra North American Infrastructure, supporting both the Sempra LNG & Midstream and Sempra Renewables businesses. Hupka joined the Sempra family of companies in 2012 as Senior Counsel in the law department.

Before joining Sempra, Hupka was an associate at Clifford Chance LLP, an international law firm. Hupka received his bachelor’s degree in international affairs from George Washington University and his law degree from Fordham University.
