Laurent Ruseckas
Laurent Ruseckas leads coverage of geopolitics, geoeconomics and finance within the S&P Global Energy’s global gas research and analysis team.
Ruseckas has worked for over 30 years advising companies, financial institutions and governments on energy strategy and investment, with a focus on the natural gas industry and the role of natural gas in the energy transition.
His previous experience includes leading dozens of energy consulting engagements in the EMEA region for S&P Global Energy clients; managing the Europe and Eurasia practice at a leading political risk advisory firm; and launching coverage of Caspian Energy with Cambridge Energy Research Associates in the 1990s. A Russian speaker, Ruseckas holds a B.A. with honors in Russian and Soviet Studies from Harvard College (Cambridge, USA) and passed comprehensive examinations in the Ph.D. program in Political Science at Columbia University (New York, USA). He is based in London.
