Joel is a senior engineer at the ConocoPhillips Global Water Sustainability Center in Doha, Qatar. He is responsible for leading and conducting research for both the treatment of produced water from oil and gas operations and for the desalination of seawater. Since joining ConocoPhillips in 2009, Joel has authored more than 30 peer-review publications and holds a Master of Science in Environmental Engineering (2008) from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (USA).
