Akihiro Ikezaki
After joining a chemical manufacturer in 2012, Akihiro worked as a mechanical engineer, contributing to improvements in the safety and efficiency of existing plants through initiatives such as process rationalization of chemical plant facilities, renewal of raw material receiving systems, and upgrades to chemical injection systems for seawater intake facilities.
From 2014, he joined a heavy machinery manufacturer as an LNG plant engineer and participated in large-scale domestic and international projects. These included LNG tank expansion projects in Taichung, Taiwan, the Ichthys LNG Project in Australia, and the construction of a new LNG tank in Niihama, Japan. Through hands-on involvement in EPC-phase construction for international projects, he developed strong capabilities in driving global-scale projects.
After joining Osaka Gas Co., Ltd. in 2022, he has been responsible for planning gas plant expansion projects and large-scale methanation plant construction projects. In particular, for the Nagaoka Methanation Plant construction project, Akihiro served as the methanation licensor and Engineering Manager, leading overall engineering activities, stakeholder coordination, and technical decision-making.
