Fugitive Emission Test 24"-900# Metal Seated Ball Valve
We’re pleased to announce that we passed the Fugitive Emission Test (FET) in accordance to ISO-15848-1 (design validation). This 24”-900# trunnion ball valve with tungsten carbide coated metal seat was specially made for Pertamina Hulu Mahakam (Ex. TotalEnergies E&P Indonesie). With PHM’s extreme qualification, the FET is definitely no easy job to do.
FET requires a minimum of 205 cycles of open-close (full stroke) with 2 thermal cycles:
1. 50 cycle at room temperature
2. 50 cycles at design temperature
3. 50 cycles at room temperature
4. 50 cycles at design temperature
5. 5 cycles at room temperature
With the gas being 97% helium, this makes FET incredibly challenging to pass especially with its design temperature at 200°C. Here in Southeast Asia, TRK Valves remains to be the only one who’s able to comply with the MHK-COMP-SPE-EP-PVV-0142 and 0154 specification and pass the Fugitive Emission Test for ball valves (TOTAL's Spec).
