These are suitably desinged based on the applcaition, required capacity & performace requirements.
Floating valve trays more suitable for the applications where higher turndown ratios are required and having ability to control vapor flow, they provide a higher efficiency over a wider operating range than sieve trays or fixed valve trays.
Whereas the fixed valve trays are used in fouling & high capacity services.
